Matthowie will be glad there'll be a new response to pictures of him.

I think that is "squink", "squee" is what happens when a window is left only partway cleaned

I always though that Squee was a delightfully desturbing comic... weird.

Dammit squink! I'd completely forgotten about the Sylar thing, and have just started watching Heroes! So now I've remembered mathowie = brain eater. Crap.

Squee.

A spin off of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, written and drawn by Jhonen Vasquez, the guy who brought us Invader Zim.

Not that he has anything to do with Star Trek.

However it will be a million times better if he is involved.

One. Million. Times.

here, for everyone's reference I took this shot tonight and put it side-by-side with something off the NBC site.

It's just the glasses. The same pair of glasses make everyone look alike.

I love that you have embraced this Matt. And that photo is great, he really does look more than a bit like you.

I imagine people constantly going up to him and saying "Hey, you look just like this guy on the Internet, it's weird."

It's true. I put on some horn rims and went to Ohio and everybody started asking me whether Mimi was a lesbian or not and whether Craig Ferguson was only pretending to be Scottish.

How often do you mate, matt?

Zachary Quinto already knows about Matt.

So after you 'shop a jpg, you have to save it as gif? I've been doing it wrong.

If I were cast in Star Trek, they would probably have me play the obnoxious Irishman that Kirk beats to death in his fantasies.

No, something needs to be retwonkilated in my graphics program because everything comes out compressed and crap.

But yeah, you probably are doing it wrong.

Nerds with innies go squee.
Nerds with outies go squick.

That is the picture I want to see side-by-side with Mathowie. Much more amusing, I suspect.

Oh, wait. Was that a rhetorical question? Was your intention merely to show a snide superiority?
posted by Tuwa at 8:04 AM on August 3, 2007

I had a student who looked like 5x more like Sylar than Mathowie does.
Seriously creeped me out, every time.

I care, but not enough to do anything but lurk in this thread.

Burhanistan: ah yes. So it was.

Not superiority but more a reflection on the cult of matt that is becoming more and more apparent on metafilter lately. I really do not see how the actor becoming the next Spock has anything to do with metafilter.

on preview: After noticing matt posting a comment in this thread, I will change my answer to "snark with a side of superiority just to annoy Tuwa".

New Star Trek? Meh.
posted by washburn at 10:02 AM on August 3, 2007

I don't think it has anything to do with metafilter either, but if your point is to bring that up then maybe "what does this have to do with Metafilter?" is a better question than "who the fuck cares?" Yanno?

I disagree.

Paris is a REAL celeb, though. Totally different. Also: Why? People looking like other people is funny. I need to explain that?

I don't actually care even a little bit. But I'd still like to see the side-by-side, just for kicks.

I don't know who Sylar is but that was funny.

(I see a wee resemblance to Herman Munster, but I'm old-skool)

jessamyn sayeth: You have a larger frenum.

While this quite juicy stuff for a number of reasons and may be flattering to #1, and create very uncomfortable images in my head, I believe what was meant (please God) is that Matt has a larger philtrum!
