iTunes seemed to have downloaded it just fine for me. Am saving it for later in the week when I'm internet deprived though. posted by shelleycat at 11:14 PM on November 16, 2007
Texty porn != wankery, jessamyn. It's erotica. posted by Reggie Digest at 12:24 AM on November 17, 2007
The Morning News article was written Kevin Guilfoile, not Matt Baldwin -- is the former a regular around here? posted by spiderskull at 12:59 AM on November 17, 2007
Yeah, jessamyn corrects me in the background on that morning news guess of mine. I also mispronounce Ayn Rand like I often do as "Ann Rind" instead of "Eye-n Rand" posted by mathowie at 8:20 AM on November 17, 2007

Oh, same. I can't even count the number of times I embarassed myself at salons, bris', and happenins before coining this little association/rhyme trick:

Maybe I missed this somewhere else, but what happened to the call-in questions? I liked that feature of the podcasts. posted by spiderskull at 6:56 PM on November 17, 2007
The call-in questions are a little labor intensive on mathowie's end and require some advance prep, but we hope to be getting back to them soon. posted by jessamyn at 7:04 PM on November 17, 2007
yeah, we'll do them next time. posted by mathowie at 7:34 PM on November 17, 2007
My question is in a podcast!! This makes me extremely happy :) posted by divabat at 4:41 AM on November 18, 2007
Jessamyn -
The best veggie burger recipe I know is also pretty easy. It's in How it all Vegan (here), or possibly the second book in the series - Garden of Vegan. In general, the recipes in those books are both tasty and simple.
Anyway, this recipe involves grated beets which gives it a nice color too. I make 'em with oven fries and my kids and I both love them. posted by serazin at 8:13 AM on November 18, 2007

Mothershock indeed rocks -- one of the coolest women on a site full of 'em! posted by scody at 5:23 PM on November 19, 2007
I only have one Christmas present purchased so far and it's The Daring Book for Girls for my daughter. I flipped through it on the train (okay, I ignored my big boy adult book and read half of it on the train) and I have to say that mothershock rocks in so many ways, I don't know how she gets any sleep. She must be up all night thinking of new ways to rock. Thanks, mothershock! posted by Terminal Verbosity at 5:16 AM on November 22, 2007
Oh my god that is AWESOME. Please please please someone put it to music. Your accent makes it all the more great. Thanks divabat! posted by jessamyn at 6:49 AM on November 23, 2007
Oh I got a question in the podcast! And to think I almost missed it.
And I pronounce it lange-n-u although I admit it really doesn't scan well and I probably should have picked a name on here that is somewhat more pronounceable given that I introduce myself with it. posted by langeNU at 7:08 AM on November 26, 2007
And thanks. As a pop of two of them, this is an awesome resource. There was a moment while listening when the too well-informed parent in me said, Oh my, Valerian root can be dangerous.
But that's the point. Isn't it. posted by Toekneesan at 2:03 PM on December 1, 2007
