Actually, funny thing, I didn't plan to put in a shout-out. The cameraman said the site I had up -- just whatever site I'd been looking at -- was too bright. So I thought "Huh, what site doesn't have a white background?" and of course MetaFilter jumped to mind.

I recorded a second, with a different MeFi section up behind me, that same day. I'll probably use AskMe next, if we record in my office again.

As for the name change, well, I haven't gone by L. Fitzgerald for a long time. I just wanted my username to reflect what most people call me.

More importantly, the "mishmash of colored pixels" has a message in it, but YouTube encoding has prevented me from reading the third word. Is there a higher-res version available?

hey, I'd just like to say that I had no idea what lore was up to after brunching shuttlecocks (I know, that's a long time not to know something) and now I'm ecstatically happy that someone has pointed this out. Lore, for being a relevant and funny version of Andy Rooney, I give you an A.
