MeFi Diplomacy

I've gone ahead and created a MeFi wiki page for our little Diplomacy-playing subcommunity (spawned in this MeTa thread).

It is largely content-free at this point, but it lists the current games and the people who have expressed interest in playing. Please add to it - I specifically think some simple instructions about signing up for DP Judge games would be useful to have there.

Adding my name to the list. I play on Facebook (not especially exciting) as well as with a small community of friends and friends-of-friends. I'd love to play some MeFites.

It might be simpler if you use the form of, say, www.metafilter.com/username/empath instead of www.metafilter.com/user/29475 on the wiki.

Srsly, I think the goal of that site is to recapitulate the entire Internet within itself.

Also, I'm sure glad I waited until after the post-Inauguration craziness to post this.

I've never heard of Diplomacy before, but this looks very interesting. I'd love to get started with a newbie-tolerant group if anyone's available.

uh, upon re-read after a good night's sleep:

meaning, I'm grateful for the folks who put this together and are setting up wikis and so forth, and hopefully making it easier to discuss and schedule games. I'm having fun in ez2 right now, and would like to keep playing beyond just that one game.
