Why couldn't this post wait until it was up? It's not a race.

i think everyone likes to hear about good news as soon as possible.
plus, all journalism is a race in america.

Not a race I agree but it was a pleasant surprise for me as I was surfing the web with the TV on before going to bed.

Besides that, it is not on the blue, the Click website is at least 2 weeks behind schedule, and the link I posted will be relevant when they put it up.

maybe someone can post it on the blue when it is up.

Metafilter: the link I posted will be relevant when they put it up.

Metafilter was featured on the cover of TIME.

It hasn't happened, but keep checking back.

There's going to be an entry on Whatever Happened To? for Metafilter. Just wait. It'll be there.

No one should in fact do this. You correctly intuited that this was Metafilter-related and so belonged on the gray. This will still be the case when, Lord willing and the creek don't rise, it actually appears on the site that you linked to.

Nah, posts about the site rightly belong here, not on the front page.

What was the segment about, exactly? I don't know Click so I'm not really clear on what we're looking forward to. Was this a five second mention in passing or something meatier?

If this is the way we're going to do things, then I am going to post a callout on MeTa... THAT HASN'T EVEN HAPPENED YET.

You should call me out now for saying something dickish next Tuesday. It will be relevant when I say it.

And I'll probably say it.

In 2001, there were 12 BBC channels. Or will be. Wait, now I'm confused.

Now that I've reached that second million, I occasionally find myself thinking back to those Mefi days and wondering what happened to all the little people I left behind.

This is the present. Just saw metafilter.com on BBC World; it was quite a meaty mention talking about the Blue, music and... I can't remember, honestly, I had already googled this thread out and am posting it here now.

Seriously, it was an awesome shout-out. You guys ought to be proud. :-)

It's been posted. The first sentence made me expect the worst: "If you use the internet a lot you've probably heard people talking about weblogs." But it turned out to be a nice little featurette, focusing even on Music.

That was a pretty good spot!

Any noticeable traffic increase because of it?
