Halloween meet up in Durham, NC

Halloween party meetup in Durham, NC--Saturday, Oct 31st, 2009.

I bought a house this summer, and one of the things that I was most excited about was being able to have people over without being too too cramped. SO!

Party at my house on Halloween. Local mefites are invited, of course, and if someone wants to come from farther away, awesome! I'll have limited space for crashing.

Dang it, I have a gig that night and I can't make it. The one holiday where every magician who can halfway palm a coin has a gig and you guys have to go and have a meetup!

Would love to be there - got your memail! - but alas, Halloween is something of a sacred holiday around here and I think I already sort of have plans. Have fun though!!

Whee! I'm excited. I knew a Halloween date had the potential to make things tough for some, but I also figured it would be easier for others, since it's a typical party day.

odinsdream, i'm just hoping announcing early won't make it fall off the radar too much.

As we get closer to the date, you can memail me for directions, phone, etc. I'll need a decently accurate count, and I'm thinking we'll do some kind of BYO deal.

OK, since nobody likely knows where I live, etc., memail me for directions and phone number.

BTW, we're going to have this party's refreshments supplemented by the funds we didn't use for the 10th. Thanks, hydropsyche, for keeping up with that money!

As to the time of arrival, etc. I'm open. If you're traveling from afar and would like to come in early, let me know. Also, if anyone needs a place to sleep, now is the time to reserve a bed! I have one guest room with two twin beds, a pull-out queen bed, a big comfy couch and ample floor space.

Had a blast! When odinsdream and purpletangerine left this morning they got to take some of the leftovers, thankfully. I need to have another party soon, because my fridge is loaded with beer.

Heh - I'm just glad I didn't kill myself with it - that stuff is potent. They are not kidding when they tell you to use it in well-ventilated areas.

But odin definitely wins the costume prize with his curls. I am in awe of his sister, and I don't even know her.
