Saratoga Springs NY meetup

Saratoga Springs/Ballston Spa/Albany NY meetup?

I'm in NY for a couple of months and don't know anyone. Anyone up for a meetup? It would have to be a Saturday night or Sunday afternoon, since I'm working 5am to 5pm Mon-Sat. NYC is a bit far for me.

A little over 2 hours from me, but move it to mid-June and if I get Phish tickets I can meetup.

There aren't a great deal of mefites in the area, no. You'll probably want to include Troy and Schenectady on the list as well to pump up the numbers. I would show up as long as it fits into my schedule and there are hookers and blackjack.

I'm a few hours away too but a June meetup appeals to me too [and if you want to come visit VT, the Rutland Amtrak stop is just a little bit away from me]

Something about these Capital District threads seems to bring out a lot of people who used to live there but don't anymore.

I visit the 'rents once a month. I could schedule that visit around that if someone promised to go to the Miss Albany with me.

I'm an hourish away across the border in Massachusetts during the school year, but I don't really have a practical way to get to Albany. Good luck with your meetup, though!

Kataclysm's one of them, but we'll be up next week and possibly the week after. It's going to be a pretty depressing visit, so if someone wants to set something up, I'm sure we'll be very interested in getting some drinks some night.

(I probably should've mentioned, we'll be based in central Rensselaer County. We'll have our car; while Saratoga Springs probably will be doable, it's at the very outer limit of what we are likely to be able to manage.)

Kataclysm's grandmother passed away Monday afternoon. We'll be in Troy for another day, but the funeral is Friday morning in NJ, and then we'll be heading back to Pittsburgh.

Ah, well, it was worth a shot.... We'll be back up for Christmas; maybe we'll see some of you then.
