MeFites playing StarCraft II? August 4, 2010 12:03 PM   Subscribe

MeFites playing StarCraft II? I'm looking for Battle.net friends for multiplayer shenanigans.

Add me, if you'd like. I'm the same username, MeMail to exchange character codes?

MeFight Club.

Also, I'd like to personally thank the Mefight (MeFite?) Club for teaching me the word Rotato. Especially because I am working on a project that deals with the aspect of an item's "Rotator", and I can not sit in a meeting about it without silently mouthing (or yes, shouting)" ROTATO!

Wasn't even gonna buy it, too. Mrs. saw me without it and said OOH! Honey, look, I bought you SC 2! How do you turn down free crack cocaine, when it's right there, sitting on your desk?

I tell you how. You roll that shit light that shit smoke that shit.
I'm really bad at crack cocaine metaphors.

Video games are for people who don't own pianos.

Both are incredibly frustrating for the novice and make a satisfying crash when thrown out of a window?

Come dust my piano, koeselitz.

THIS IS THE PART WHERE I LOOK AT MY SIX-YEAR-OLD PC AND CRY.

Don't worry, I found this version of Starcraft 2 for low-end systems.

You know, I clicked that link and honestly hoped that there was a version of starcraft 2 that would run on my cruddy laptop. I now know what it feels like to be trolled :(

First, I have two guest passes that enable you to try the game for 14 days or 7 hours of gameplay. If you think you'd actually give it a whirl then send me a me mail.

I'm incredibly bad at it and I'm still playing through the campaign and not doing a while lot of multilayer yet but....it's so good. So, so good.

Add me!

My battle.net account name is kbanas@umich.edu. Please,.anyone and everyone add me! I have two people ojn my contact list and no one to play with!

Mefight (MeFite?)

Heh. That's kind of the joke, right there. Unfortunately, if you're one of the odd, the brave, the benighted few who say 'Meh-feet', the joke doesn't work quite as well.

Or at all, actually. Ah well.

In brief, frightening, excursions into the internet away from metafilter I forget how many assholes there are in teh tubes. I really don't want to hear about how much I suck from someone with the username "diggernick" or "peeinherbutt" (yes, those are real names). If I'm going to be insulted I'd like it to happen in complete sentences.

And for what it's worth, on my new MBP (2009) I had to turn textures and models to medium. :(

My battlenet email is my nice squeaky clean, real name email. Can anyone point to the relevant place to exchange character info on mefightclub.com? It's a bit confusing to navigate to the uninitiated.

Ok, another 90sec of poking around and I found it. Starcraft 2 Character names/codes exchange on MeFightClub.

And the fez-wearing chain-smoking chimp can't play piano because...?

This is one of the greatest things about our gaming gang -- we have our private servers and our Steam groups and we can effectively tune out the yammer and din of the millions of idiots and 12-year-olds out there. It makes online gaming a pleasure again.

Because by then you're well down the slippery slope to recreating the whole of Rick's Café Américain using non-human primates. If you want to go down that road, you go ahead, but the insurance is really going to sting.

Yes! I just got it installed after two weeks of being away from steady Internet access. I'm abk ingame- I don't know how the whole non-realID-adding-friends process works, do I need to give out more than that?
posted by aaronbeekay at 5:35 AM on August 6, 2010

To add someone as a non-RealID friend you need to have their character name and their 3-digit character code (since character names don't have to be unique). You can get it from here. (Log in and click your portrait to get to your profile page)

Aha, I'm abk, and my character code is 430.
