Bold, Italic, and link tag buttons were missing September 10, 2002 1:28 PM   Subscribe

(Mozilla 1.1 WinXP) While I was able to post a comment to a FPP on MeFi the Bold, Italic, and link tag buttons were missing.

I'm fairly certain those are using IE only activeX (or at least Jscript) jobbies. Its possible to create similar functions in the Moz, but it'd be more work for matt.

Just do the B,I, and A tags yourself. Easy if you know how, and if you don't, way easy to learn too.

They are "missing" when you view the site in a browser that doesn't support the necessary html and js required for it.

asked here, and answered. Still waiting for the mozilla team to fix a form selection range bug.

While on the subject of mozilla, I just tried spell-checking a comment in both metafilter and metatalk and it crashed mozilla 1.1 under win2k.
