Old Copyright Info January 17, 2004 1:58 PM Subscribe
I notice the copyright information on The Grey, The Blue and The Green all say 2000-2003.
What's the point behind giving a year anyway? The whole having an © on your copyrighted works hasn't been required or added anything to your protection for ages.
While I can understand underscoring and explaining copyrights, especially on things so often-copied as websites (and especially MeFi), the year doesn't really seem to add anything.

Especially since it means we have to have this discussion about updating the copyright date a couple times a year.

Well, change the footer to use a formatted CFDATE for the current year and the discussion is over.
