Jay-Run was smacking me around earlier November 3, 2004 4:08 PM   Subscribe

So. Jay-Run was smacking me around earlier when I tried to visit the site. Enough post-election traffic to cause problems or something else? Just curious, the site was really speedy last night when I was checking the huge election threads.

the speedy new servers were serving up that Jrun error lightning fast, though.

something still nutty about coldfusion, making the app service run into a race condition, spiking to 100% cpu use. I'll have to look at the new server to see what it is. If it was my code, why would it take like 5-6 days to provoke it?

I reported Jrun errors on, I believe, the day after the server switch (in the thread you set aside for error reporting). And the site has been sporadically sloooow for me the last 3 days (though when it's fast, it's fast).

I got Jruns the second day of the new server as well. But I couldn't post either so I couldn't report it.

See? The problem practically solves itself!

Actually, performance seems to be all over the place.

The not being able to post was a CF error which I thought may have been related to DNS as I haven't seen it before or since.

On the upside spell checking is working for me for the first time in months.
