This is the wrong place for this. In fact, I'm not really sure it's worth asking about on ask either.
However, since it was posted on metatalk, we can complain freely about it. Yay!

Hey, I thought AskMefi was for people looking for help. This is a question that's not really appropriate for Metafilter, and thus it's in a grey area between the two.
Grey being MetaTalk.

From the top of MeTa: "MetaTalk is a discussion area for topics specific to MetaFilter itself, ranging from bug reports to feature requests to questions of content".
This is an "I'm curious" ChatFiltery question that, sure, has to do vaguely with some stuff that's been posted in the blue. But it's not about MeFi. There's no appropriate place for it on the "Metafilter network". Improve the post and try an FPP.

I guess my favorite scam, then, was (inadvertantly) ruining your day.
Sorry to have ruined your day, Metafilter.

Can you cringe more when you say that? A soupcon more kowtowing wouldn't hurt either.

McGraw who? I don't see anyone named McGraw. Especially not one who asked a question on MetaTalk instead of AskMeta. There's nobody who would do that here. If there was, I would probably give them the silent treatment.
Oh, what was that? It sounded like an apology, but it couldn't be an apology, since there's nothing to apologize for in this MetaTalk thread. Must have been the wind.

My favorite scam is when you pay 5$ to join an online community and then find out that everybody on it is a wet blanket who wouldn't know a fun post if it jumped up and whacked them on the nuts, and who'd rather be chatting about their personal feelings about Bush's left pinkie than say something remotely interesting.
Also, thanks, Quartermass. I didn't get to see that post, as it was deleted. It was really interesting.
mcgraw = awesome.

I am donating my body to science because my atoms were once part of stars.
How much can I write off my taxes, I wonder?

You are bidding on a unique, rare one of a kind bottle of water.
Also, apologies, all. Intended for Metafilter Related, not bugs.
