Time Zone Problem

It's currently 05:37 JST. Metafilter says it's 06:37 JST. I doublechecked, but the user configuration is correct: UTC + 9 hours. Is Mefi applying daylight savings time to Coordinated Universal Time, throwing off calculations?

Yep, the server is in US daylight savings now.

Is there any way to set the times to be based on UTC, not (presumably) East Coast time? (The settings page seems to indicate that the times are based on UTC, which has no daylight savings time)

Naw, there's no way to do that currently. The server is set to Pacific Time, which varies. Timezones are an enormous pain to code, so I guess just remember to switch the timezones when needed. Sorry.
