Maybe MeFi is a cult after all... I found this thread, which is one of the stranger things I've seen here. Everyone wrote an essay, everyone won a TiVo.

I hated that thread, as I wasn't eligible to win.... and it just went on and on with everyone winning and I started to get really really jealous. *sticks tongue out* Bah, I didn't want a TiVo anyway.

I wasn't on mefi back then, but I remember this eppisode. TiVo was basicaly dumping unsold obsolete models.

I won a TiVo because of that thread too. I never even used it, I just sold it on eBay. I should have sent in essays using information for relatives or something and then sold them all. Heh!
