I LOVE Live Preview. Thanks Matt !!

It's always been so hard to imagine what your post is going to look like when you use bold, italics or worst of all with links. I think this will really improve posting readability factor.

On preview, didn't realize it wasn't in MetaTalk too. But I'm being greedy. It's wonderful to have in MeFi and AskME.

(Sorry if this is a repeat. My MetaTalk search timed out.)

What do you mean? I'm using it right now.

You're soaking in it.

It's only for comments, not for posts.

It's pretty cool, but Mefi's version of HTML is pretty hobbled, so viewing the source isn't especially pivotal - why don't you do like GMail and others do, and have rich text input with Midas/MSHTML?

abcde writes "why don't you do like GMail and others do, and have rich text input with Midas/MSHTML?"

Give them a finger and they will quickly ask for the attached hand...

Barring the possibility that the hand has been cut off to prove a point, of course.

Yeah it is great, although some credit should go to the guy who wrote it...dunno who exactly.

If only there was somewhere we could look that up...

It'd be nice if the Preview button was disabled by default and enabled when you started writing your comment, the same way as the Post Comment button works.

Duh !!!!!! Sorry for not paying more attention. Of course you're all right.

Freedom! Horrible, horrible freedom! From the mandatory 'preview' that is. I can now just skip the live preview and go straight to clicking the enticing "post" button. I cannot resist it. Now all the stupid crap that I used to type, maybe preview, and never see again is getting posted as comments.

You're alright too, marsha56.

I'd like to echo the praise. It's a totally badass feature - way ahead of most sites, and with the addition of the good old "preview" button I find it absolutely perfect. I hope it saves some bandwidth on all those previews, Matt!

i like it ... and it means that i only have to load the page once to post ... which gives that bastard jrun only half the opportunities to eat my words

I think it's sexy. What's it doing on Friday? swoons

Yeah, I'm loving it. Good stuff indeed. Makes me want to type in italics and bold just to see it show up in the preview box as I type it.
