no one requested it, but I always wanted to do random images on the main page. The following image shows all the current taglines that popup randomly. They're not all gold, but some of them will be around forever (especially the crack one). Can you think of others? Go ahead and suggest one.

Uhm... I got a little carried away...

I wanted to see what some of the above sayings would look like in the graphic, so I tinkered in Paint Shop Pro for awhile. Didn't take long at all actually. Was a lot of fun.

I figured if Matt wants to use any of these oneliners, this might make it a little easier for him to do so, insteada havin' to make them all by himself. Bein' busy an' all.. I also figured half of these would NEVER get picked and I just wanted to see what they'd look like. No, I didn't do only mine. In fact I couldn't do most of mine. They just didn't work.

The limitations of the space and the font which (I think) Matt uses kept me from doing many of them. I woulda done all of them, but I just got a phone call. Some friends want me to meet them at some place and see 3ShotWest with them tonight at some place off Montfort and Beltline called the Flying Saucer. Sounds like fun. Maybe I'll get back to this later.

posted by ZachsMind at 4:52 PM on June 30, 2000

I did twenty. Some are duplicates cuz I didn't like how they came out the first time, but originally I tried only to put words below the name like Matt had done. All the ones that have nothing above the name I did first. Then I experimented a bit. Superman is pretty much the most absurd one, I think. Oh well. It was fun. Share and enjoy.

I'm gonna go get a beer. 3ShotWest is gonna rock tonight.

I made some more, but swbell is being a prick. I'm getting errors now after downloading 125 more of them. Suggestions from above, in most cases word for word what others suggested. I could try idrive.com but it was a major pain in the butt uploading them and now I can't see my own crap on my own website. It sucks. I'm too tuckered out to do it all over again.

Matt if you like these lemme know and somehow I'll get the rest of them to ya. If ya don't like'em that's okay too. It was fun making them anyway. Nice exercise.

"pictures don't push the text out of the way" shit?

my guess is it's due to NS4's spazzing over CSS line-height attributes, resulting in wacky overlapping.
