dang it. c'mon san francisco! let's have a meetup, at say, uh. the bocce courts at the aquatic park!

or no, uh, we'll have it at, uh, Nap's Only -- one of the mission's finest dive bars!

or, uh, maybe ... Ocean Beach Beer bust?

c'mon, something! i'm enough of a drunkard to attend, but too much of one to plan it.

OMG OMG OMG! You are all going to sing!

* drowns in 13yo saliva *

Actually, I will try to make it, even though I'm not exactly next door. I'll let you choose the venue, though. And I will gladly submit you to my ear-splitting rendition of Mack the Knife.

Ocean Beach Beer bust?

Only if massive quantities of furniture are burned.

I'm in too, but we need to do it at a bar, not a place that has those private rooms only...it has to be semi-public to really be cringe-worthy! (That said, i need a partner for "I Got You, Babe")

Punk metal karaoke is way too crowded.

Also, I'm bitter about the time when I had been practicing Welcome to the Jungle all week and when I showed up they were doing "Corporate Rock" night and refused to play GNR for me so I had to sing Foreigner instead.

th3ph17: you'll have to pry "like a virgin" out of my cold, dead hands!

This is getting everyone nowhere. Sixteen comments and not a single on-topic suggestion. Could some local please go back on topic and recommend a place for that Saturday night, so that I will know if I should bother hopping a train or not?

Listen yhbc, unless you start being nice, we'll have it an undisclosed location.

RJReynolds suggested a place and I disagreed because it's too crowded. So that's 2 on topic comments. The only karaoke bar I've been to is Winnie's in Chinatown. That's a pretty good one.

Consider alternatives to [shiver] karaoke? If not, dibs on "Communication Breakdown."

Well, I am fairly sure that I don't sing in public, so...

Winnie's on March 22nd at about 8:00 PM?

'Cause we can't do it in places that have a private booth, due to the number of people. Plus it's more fun to do it where random strangers get to point and laugh.
