It's difficult to tell if the posts in question are tongue in cheek or, uh, hand in pants. I'm leaning toward the latter for the first and the former for the second.
Either way, before all you wacky funsters get too geared up, I'd like to make the no-brainer comment and say that a) stone the witch and b) if you're going to satirize on the front page, you're going to need to be a wee bit funnier about it.

It's Apple. And it's fast.
The only complete failure of the post was the lack of skill used to infiltrate the average "I'm Cool because I read Adbusters" Metafilter mindset. In the correct circumstances, you could easily market your products in a manner which receive praise from this ridiculously predictable Fight-The-Power community.
For example, pretend you're MiguelCardoso:
Does Anyone Eat Breakfast Anymore? Has our "work first, eat later" gruel completely ruined the grand tradition of the morning meal? Do we still care about the grandeur of the le biscuit while cast in the dazzling sunrise bouncing off rich Portugal beach? Even though I'm much too busy nowadays writing my Great Portugese Novel, I still find time to stop at the local McDonalds (forgive me!), and sip the finest brew of coffee extract harvested from the supple tits of the Coffee Bean goddesses. Oh Delight!

I think I have it. Miguel Cardoso is actually an alternate personality of Stan Chin. How else could Stan so easily imitate Migs' posting style?
I think that the first post was meant to be satire and didn't pull it off, the next clearly meant to riff of the first. But both are eminently deleteable.

I only ask that when those two threads get deleted we get rid of this one too just to burn the evidence of them ever existing. And what's with the all-caps nickname anyway?

Are you guys sure the thread wasn't innocent? The prose was over the top enough it could have been a sincere* but apparently off attempt.
The fact that the poster is apparently nowhere to be found, though, might be the decisive judgment criteria...
*sincerely mocking, I mean. You know. Like Alanis knowing the song wasn't Ironic. Or... Oh, I give up.

like, are you _sure_? because I'm not the only one who's convinced that over here we like brands and defend them, adbusters is very far from being a shoo-in for Mefi's Beloved Site, plus many many members defend Starbucks (they give health benefits to employees and they have wi-fi) and McDonald's (cheap and reliable and O.K., for some cholesterol-junkie MeFi users) and a lot of other big corporate entities
ridiculously predictable? what's really predictable is your comments about allegedly anti-corporate conformists here. the reality is a little more complicated if you check the links

I think this post proves Stan Chin's point exactly, all it takes is a few hours of work and editing and a mastermind like Stan to make any ad appealing to the MeFi community. (BTW, Stan, I'm still waiting for your shoe-post)
