Meetup with mathowie in the Land of Eng?

Since the dawn of time, there have been whisperings of the mystical and all-powerful 'Number One', and his fabled arrival in the lands of Albion, where he is prophesised to bring pancakes, ponies and European uptime to all. Of late, many British have said he is to come in June and wish to bestow upon him large quantities of ale. The only questions that are left are, will the one called 'mathowie' be willing to grace us with his presence, and if so, when can we expect his arrival?

I don't think I'm coming out in June. A bunch of personal crap came up and I've delayed the Iceland trek for a few months.

I hope this isn't going to turn into some weird opposite-of-kuro5hin thing, where you take the money for the holiday and use it to improve the site. 'cos that'd be like... really bad?

Now thats a shame, matt. Hope the 'personal crap' isn't too heavy - and be sure to give us plenty of notice, so we can roll out the red carpet, as is our wont in this part of the world when visiting dignitaries arrive. (",) Flunkeys dressed in knee gaiters and walking backwards are optional, of course.

I walked past the bar that the semi-MeFi-semi-London-bloggers thing was in last week, but didn't go in. For a start, I was wearing trainers, and I was also trying to move in on this chick that I know down there, who wouldn't have enjoyed a cluster of drunken geeks.
