How do I search for Metafilter users?

it took me something like twenty minutes to remember how to do the "username.mefi" URL to find somebody's information. while messing around, i also found users.mefi which is a link to people who have origins in their name...and i never knew about that. what else is out there? and, is there a list of the various dotmefi pages one can use?

there are links here to some related pages/things, and riffola used to have a list too, but it's gone.

I removed them because most of the links were dead after various server software and setting changes. The MeFi Wiki is the best place for that now, so it seemed silly to keep listing dead pages.

bah...none of those links is really what i'm looking for, though they are neat.

i guess i'm just saying there should be a FAQ or something, or a site map.
