halifax meetup

So I'm in Halifax, NS, Canada for work and I haven't been to a MeFi meetup ever. Anyone else here?

I'm here 'till early/mid August.

Failing a meetup I could use someone to go to a movie or two with. It's nice to know people outside of work.

I know of just one MeFite who lives in Halifax. He's mostly a lurker, so I don't like to out him, but I have emailed him the link for this thread. He does love pubbing, so keep your fingers crossed.

I used to live there, but we never had a meetup. I'm sure there are a few other Haligonian MeFites but I can't find a thread on it like I thought there was. If you're willing to jump 'filters, MonkeyFilter has a rather sizable Maritime population for such a small userbase, but again, can't find the post. No google-fu for me tonight.

stray: We could meet in... New Glasgow or something. (I can't be sure from the map, but that seems like it'd be around halfway). I'm working quite a bit though, so I don't think I'd have the time to get out there. When I do have the time I'm back in New Brunswick with my girlfriend.

Ghost: Excellent. I knew someone would be here. Are you the mefite of whom swan was speaking or can we expect a third?

So what's there to do here?

I'm gone for the weekend though, back to New Brunswick. I'm returning sans automobile as well.
