★ I help fund MetaFilter!
Did you know that there's a Chrome extension that will let you add Metafilter's Amazon affiliate code to every Amazon link you click? It also adds the tag every time you navigate directly to Amazon. It works on all international Amazon sites and a couple of other Amazon-related sites. [more inside]
PSA: "Stylish" browser add-on steals your internet history
The popular "Stylish" browser extension, which allows you to download custom styles for a given site (such as making text more readable, removing UI cruft, or adding a professional white background), has been silently logging its users web activity for the last year and a half. The new owners of the add-on at the time, SimilarWeb, offer products including “Market Solutions To See All Your Competitors’ Traffic.” [more inside]
Calm MetaFilter extension
After posting my Calm Twitter extension to Projects, I figured I ought to make one for MetaFilter as well. Briefly, it is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that guides you through a deep breathing exercise before confirming that you really want to submit that comment. Example GIF of it in action. Decent Activity
Hey, so way back when, I wanted an "LJ friends" sort of view of MetaFilter – something that would let you see all of your "friends'" comments on MetaFilter, regardless of the number of favorites. I remembered that in the last few months and put together a Chrome extension, Decent Activity (thanks to Ian A.T. for the name!) that shows all of your mutual contacts' comment in reverse chronological order. So, if you are also interested in that sort of view, there it is! [more inside]

Nancy, a Chrome extension for Metafilter
After the enhanced update of the diediedead Greasemonkey script, I received several requests from MeFites for a native Chrome extension, mostly because Chrome's Tampermonkey doesn't support all features, such as the context menu. I promised and, finally, I deliver: Nancy, available at the Chrome Web Store. Yeah, kind of a mouthful. [more inside]
All the videos - have 'em all!
In response to threads like this in which there are a lot of videos to watch, I wrote a Chrome extension that plays all the YouTube videos linked on a page, one after another in one player. [more inside]
HowlsOfOutrage lives again, expands
Due to a couple of recent MetaFilter user requests to return it to working status, I have updated the popular (6K+ downloads on userscripts, more elsewhere) HowlsOfOutrage Greasemonkey script. The script displays a popup window of all users favoriting a particular MetaFilter post or comment on mouse hover over the favorites text. In addition, I've updated the Chrome extension, and added a new Safari extension. Testing was successful, but not exhaustive. All completely free as always, natch. [more inside]
