Forgotten link: flash(?), space(?), photo with blue-dialed watch...

Long shot - looking for a (flash?) link that was posted a couple (several?) months ago in the blue. All I remember: inside. [more inside]

fix link in fpp

MinorCorrectionFilter: as luftmensch pointed out, the 6th link in this FPP should probably point to this site (or some more descriptive page within it).

making multiple links more visible

Just a style suggestion for links that include single words with multiple links.

A period ('.'), or a middle dot ('·' ·), or even a spacing cedilla ('¸' ¸) between the links would make it a lot less annoying, especially for those of us with motor control problems. I'm not suggesting this as any sort of rule, just as a nicety.

links without learning HTML?

Apologies for what is most likely an extremely dumb question, but how do I create links within posted messages without resorting to HTML?

It's been a while since I posted and I remember there used to be a simple user interface to create hyperlinks, but now all I see in the posting area is a plain text-entry box.

FPP to an awesome product (not mine)?

So say I find a product on the web...I buy said product, and it is revolutionary for its purpose (using your mouse...it is a combo of mouse pad/teflon feet/teflon wax from the same company), would it be wrong/shameless to link said product on MetaFilter? (I am in no way related to this company other than I bought the products and I find them to be truly amazing). I simply want to share the love with any gamers/designers that could benefit from its use.

Poetic FFP screening.

Within AskMe I offered a link
To a site that's quite helpful, I think
And I threw in a line
re: a pet cause of mine
As a post to the blue, would this stink?

ethically questionable mapping link; i am sorry

I recently posted a link, and in it I happened to slip a 1x1 px graphic that is used by this site to create a map of internet users. Seemed harmless enough, but in retrospect I regret having done it. It was an action of questionable ethics, and I should have avoided it. Please nix my post and accept my apologies.

One of my links is messed up.

The last link in this thread was fine on preview but not after I posted.

Remember single-link posts?

Remember single-link posts?

A glance at the front page soon reveals they are now the exception rather than the rule. This is perhaps due to MeTa influence. You know: "Add a link or two for context/to show you care/as proof you can google". And yet great single-link posts, like this one, are probably the most appealing and difficult to get right. Not least because I suspect most users will only click on what they assume is the main link. Have multi-link posts become the norm or are they just a passing trend?

Too many links in post

How many links does a front page post have before they become irritating?

Hey, I saw that on boingboing!

MeFi is going through another period of Romenesko following (here here here here). The circle of meta will continues...

Single link for a whole post?

We should be able to refer to a topic (i.e. whole of thread) using single link - in a way that will allow us to send it via email to other people who are likely to be interested, but don't use metafilter regularly.
