We're adding a soft warning for long above-the-fold text on the blue
We’re adding a heads-up note to the posting process on the front page when previewing a long-above-the-fold post, to help provide folks with preemptive feedback about post length. It’s not enforced—your post won’t be truncated by the posting process or anything like that—but we’re hoping it’ll help folks think about how they’re framing stuff in terms of how much vertical space it might occupy. More styled CSS for some HTML elements, such as blockquote

fixed a couple long-standing bugs
I finally fixed a couple long-standing bugs. One, when you used <blockquote> in a comment, the preview page would look screwy, but upon submission, it would appear fine. That is fixed. The second, as mentioned by nicwolff below, had to do with the preview not being an exact preview of the comment after submission. That has been fixed, and the special code clean up that is done on submission is done on preview.
No Blockquote?
when I use blockquote, it screws up the formatting for the rest of the page (margin way-left). what should I be using instead?
There should be an easier way to quote
There should be an easier way to quote someone else's post/comment. I've tried using
, but it doesn't always work as well as it should. (On another note, what should go in the URL in this case? I really don't have anything to link to).
