The quote in this comment comes out all blocks for me (FF3, OSX 10.5.7). What am I doing wrong & how do I fix it?

Hey, I see there's suddenly a new font in use for song titles (and linking directly to threads!) at MeFi Music. Looks good to me: the page is more unified. Might I be so bold as to make a further suggestion? Make the song titles a little smaller. I don't think they need to be so big, really, and it'd make more space, so more MeFier's songs could bask a little longer in those bright MeFiMu front page stage lights. Whaddaya think?

Blank fields for font sizes in Preferences make JRun cry. Possible SQL Injection attack point?

I know this has been discussed already and even used as an excuse for the guys here to show off their font skills, but what is the deal with the small and large tags on AskMefi? They exist but there's no script or interface that lets a novice change the size of his or her font in the post? Is this a way of regulating some from emphasizing words? Just want some history here... Thanks.

Why does font size change after login?
When I come directly to www.metafilter.com (front page), the body text is displayed at what looks to be the default size for my browser. However, as soon as I click the Login link and login, when I am returned to the FPP, the font size being displayed is now larger.

In preferences, my font preference is set to Times New Roman. With the new headers in MeFi and MeTa I see the site nav links in a sans serif typeface, as I'd expect, but in AskMe the site nav links appear to be in Times New Roman. Somewhere there's an inconsistency. I'm guessing AskMe is incorrectly using my font preference for its site nav links in the header.

For the first time since signing up I've tweaked things in the preferences pane. The main font is now Arial 12 and the minor font is Helvetica 10. It's kinda changed the way I look at the site mentally as well as physically. It feels kinda odd, almost a non authentic interpretation of the site. Is that weird (yes!)?Anyone have any thoughts on their own settings and related perception of the site? (Hope this is in the right section, not quite an AskMe thing)...

I can't get my posts to switch font modes in a single area of the text, it's all or nothing. I have a mac with OS 10.4 and use safari.

So I think I have international language support working finally. Please test in the comments here.

Is it possible, or even a good idea, to have font sizes in pixels rather than or in addition to the current scheme (which is in points)?

Speaking of fonts -- are we no longer allowed to use font tags in comments? Mine seem to be getting stripped out during preview. This interferes with my ability to make snarky side comments.

At least in IE5.0 for Mac, the customization of fonts is no longer working in Mefi. Although it is in Meta.
