Although it was a Sunday, you were the real Men and Women of Genius. Thanks to you Mr. and Mrs. MetaFilter Meetup Attenderers, another Chicago meetup is on the books. No pics, no shoutouts. Just talk about Jonmc's kidney stones and a few beers. We were thinking of you all though.

Apparently, Kevin's email was wrong. But there's a MetaChat meet-up (or meat-up, considering the location) tonight at the Bill Goat under the bridge. Come on out!

Actually my email was responded to by one person re: 11/21 and that person said they could only do the 20th. I re-checked the thread and 11/20 seemed to be the prevailing day so we went with that. Sorry for the confusion.

The Chicago meetups are small and low key - but also loads of fun.

Too bad we didn't take any pictures becasue I was ready to throw a shoutout your way.

I was going to go last night but my knee was acting up, so I stayed in.

I will be there tonight...and I did bring a camera with me! : ) (she who takes the pics won't be in them. ; ) )

i ended up in front of a storefront bar a few blocks from my house, while a drunk guy from inside the bar--who just happened to have a butane torch-- torched the lug nuts, then kicked and hammered the flat tire off the car. his job finally done, he lit his cigarette with the butane torch and disappeared back into the bar, where he steadfastedly refused our attempts to buy his next round.

sorry i missed it. i was looking forward to felix's tales!
