This is fun to make a gathering on the Lawrence bar: 100% fewer lost keys than last time. Also, we are not nearly as tattooed as Portland...
I seem to remember it as being a good time. Things get kind of hazy toward the end, though.
And no one hot punched in the head, mostly because rocketman was in Seattle at the time.

...and by that I mean "no one got punched in the head".

The problem with shout-outs is that I promptly forget the thousands of names I was thinking of writing down (curiously, interrobang's satchel/purse had nothing in it, and we were forced to resort to bar napkins, instead of the delightful index cards he had last time...) the minute I start writing.
(also, wtf was up with that mask, anyway?)

I think rocketman flung his arm into the path of a waitperson carrying a tray of 6 beers, which ended up on the floor and his shirt.

You're all lovely.
And Derive the Hamiltonian of... , are those the dreadlocks we all discussed? Very cool to get this sort of closure on an AskMeta question (and isn't that what it's all about?!? Don't answer that...) I think you should link to the final result in the question.

Someone punched me, I think. Otherwise, where'd that bruise come from? Oh wait, that was the cop.

ThePinkSuperhero: they're pre-dreads at the moment, and look more like braids. When you really get down to it though, he is a 6'4" Real Doll, so I guess that makes some kind of sense.

Hototogisu; 6'5" thank you very much! geesh.
Although I guess if I am a Real Doll (!!!), I probably come in whatever height the customer orders...
Yeah, the infant dreads are starting to lock up in the back, not as much in the front. I continued shampooing my hair regularly after getting them (I'm now using residue free stuff), and they seem to be binding together fine, so I'm happy. They do have a polarizing effect on people's reactions to me; for the first time in my life I've been complemented on my hair by total strangers, and I've also gotten some sneers. I personally like the way they look, and its nice not to have hair falling in my eyes all the time. I'm calling them a social success based on the fact that some really gorgeous girls have given me the "I'm checking you out" once over and smile and it seems like the dreads were included.
ThePinkSuperhero; Thanks, that's a good idea. I'll link to this thread and the pics.

I received an invitation, but I thought I should join the website before attending a meet-up. Just common courtesy, you know.

I got held up and missed it. Of course after seeing how large of a guy Derive the Hamiltonian of.. is and realizing I made fun of his white dreads in the thread, it probably wasn't a bad thing.
