So this porpoise gets his flippers on a cellphone and calls the bartender, "Ah, my good barkeep. I am inclined to book a reservation at your fine establishment."

"No can do. Game night."

"Blast and damnations!"

Oh well, like they say about the plans of mice and marine mammals.

It's Hockey Night in Canada (so it probably won't do any good to get there early), the 'nucks are up against the Oil at 7pm. Hopefully not too many people will want to go to Smelly O'neil's to watch the game.

I'll get there a little ahead of 7pm and try to set up shop. I'm a skinny Chinese dude, black leather jacket, will likely be wearing a blue shirt and green pants.

Actually, that's a good point. It might be a good time to come up with a backup plan, just in case the place is too crowded.

Hmm, stupid orcas, should I send out an email to everyone on the list with my cell # so if there's nobody from the metas at Smiley's, they can suss out where we headed?

Backup plan... well there's the Irish Heather, though I know there have been a couple of objections- I'm just trying to think of someplace without TV's.... there's also the Railway, but there'll be cover as The Furios are playing there tonight. Any other backup suggestions?

The power to my place went out (along with all of coquitlam and surrey, supposedly - strange that there's power, like, 8 blocks away) and I'm typing this from the lab.

Had a few people email me to say that they won't make it =( but I'll be at Smiley's a little before 7.
