London meetup pictures!

Heat played their big hit "Sound Check" and much Bass and Stella was drunk. A fabulous time was had by all. PEA and cillit bang are really different people. Either that or PEA hired some guy to pretend he was cillit bang.

blag took a couple of group shots too, which I anxiously await.

Next time let's do it somewhere more central!

Urgh! That first picture needs a NSFW tag!

Good to meet you all. I second the 'more central' next time shout.

Oh no goddamn
I missed the last tram

And the taxi was really expensive. But I did a bit of busking for two people on the opposite platform at Chiswick park. They threw me a pound, and I threw three CDs at them, but they all missed. My CD throwing is much more accurate before I drink.

It was good meeting you folks.

That was surprisingly good fun although. PEA is a total failure and dragged me to Camden in search of a 24 hour pub which somehow managed to evade us.

So where are those MP3s blag? :P

I've emailed most of my photos to you, grouse - feel free to upload them.

Good to meet you all, chaps. Also kudos to our troubadours who put on a great show. Fantastic stuff, cheers!

Oh yeah, the MP3s.

Oh yeah, for MrMustard, the Stratford picturehouse has a Big Scream, although I'm not sure how convenient that is for you.
posted by grouse at 9:10 AM on February 19, 2006

Oh yeah, looks like all the comments are starting with "oh yeah." Oh yeah.

MrMustard! We meet at last. Great to get a gander at the rest of you as well. Lots of faces to well-known names!

ludwig, if you were a girl I'd totally do you if you played that song. As it is, I'm starting to question things...

And people wonder why we assume all Mefites are male. Where are the birds?

I would have been there! I'm a Londoner, but tragically currently at Uni in Cardiff.

(And I'm a girl, hence why I felt the need to comment).

grouse - Thanks. I've passed the info on to MrsMustard and her and the bairns may well be visiting in the near future.

scarabic - Glad to finally return the shout. If I ever get back to Berkeley, a meetup is a must.

ludwig, if you were a girl I'd totally do you if you played that song.

I can vouch for Mr Ludwig's excellent redition of that song. When's the wedding? :)

Fuck. I knew there was somewhere I was supposed to be on Saturday.
posted by flashboy at 3:59 AM on February 20, 2006

I missed out too, due to illness.

My apologies: I was keen to see the AWESOME POWER OF ARMOURED ANT and hear his rendition of THE JUICES OF THE ROTTING DEAD ARE LIKE SWEET WINE TO ME as well as his other, less commercial, singles.

Was tempted to go, but was busy on Saturday.

There were girls... at other tables.

And thank you, drpynchon and blag. To tell the truth, playing that song makes me want to do myself.

I too was ill.

Come now, I think the largest gaggle of admirers belonged to one Mr. armoured_ant. That beard of his is quite disarming.

You want girls, check out the Portland, Oregon pix 2 threads up.

So, guys, when's the next one? It's all very well and good to organise a meet where all I do is sing and point at a table, but, y'know... I felt bad for not meeting ANY of you properly.

So... yeah. I reckon we have another. Soon.
posted by armoured-ant at 2:07 PM on February 20, 2006

Shit, I was in Finland. Sorry to have missed y'all.
