Fucksocks. Having previously spoken of my delight at getting an East London venue for a meetup so that I can then mock West Londoners as they face a long journey home, it now looks like I'm going to be unable to make it. Because I've got to be in West London.

Good Heavens. I'll be in London tonight... I'm almost tempted to come to this. But that is a somewhat too scary prospect, especially as I have no one to drag along.

Hmmmm I'll see how I feel about it closer to the time.
(and I know guests are not compulsory, but they're a great prop to have / hide behind when faced with large crowds of scary new people)

ClarissaWAM - please go, London meetups are really friendly, good affairs. Honestly, you'll be fine.
As an added bonus to you, I won't be there this time as I have a family birfday commitment that I couldn't get out of.

Ooo. I've only just discovered MetaTalk after mainly asking on the green and commenting on the blue - I didn't even know MeFi did meetups.

Can't make this one, but I'd love to come to one in future. I shall keep my eye out.
