Okay, who's the wise guy who infected "9622 with an password popup for Miguel's blog?
OK, That does it.
That guy's out of my will. Matt, I'll go ahead and leave you my collection of mechanically reclaimed meat items, if that's alright with you.

Huh? That was only a stupid HTML experiment with my HTML editor. It was posted on 4 November. My blog only started three days ago. What is a password popup? If there is something there, can it be deleted? Can an HTML editor infect a thread?
At a loss here, completely!

Miguel! You silly Portuguese Bastard! Not only have you infected the holy land, but you have caused K to put up a big billboard that says, "SILLY HERE!"
People, listen to me: 9622 is an awful, awful place. Stay away. Nothing to see there. They'll NEVER make it to 800.
That is all.

The images may be on a password protected part of your site. You are logged in to your site, so you don't have any problem seeing the images, and you don't get a password prompt.

From looking at them, this appears to be so. I see the word "admin" prominently in the path. I'll ax that comment.

Oh shit. Matt, please delete that bastard. It was already embarassing enough as it was, got ticked off by jpoulos and everything. Sorry folks - I'll be doing all my HTML acrobatics manually from now. Better even, leave them out altogether.

That was the only time I used the editor, btw. I had no idea a comment could infect a thread weeks after it was posted. Boy, this is more complicated than I thought!

Miguel: Was that the 2 minutes in the corner thing?
Chef: Please repeat after me. "There is no thread number 9622. There is no thread number 9622." Come to think of it, there's no MeTa thread number 1417, either.
These are not the droids you're looking for...

btw, you can cancel out of the password requests. The problem is that there is a new request for each image MC put in his post, so it looks like it won't accept your cancel. But it does, you just have to hit it a few times.
Not that, uh, I have, you know, anything whatsoever to do with that thread, no sir. And I don't know what thread you're talking about, either. (I think someone stole my password. Yeah, that's it. And stuff.)

http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/9622#170540: for some reason, this reminds me of the Trelane Star Trek episode where said character plays with the crew, only to ultimately be reprimanded by his parents.

Asking Matt to fix something in 9622 is like asking your parents to buy you porn.
