Santa Cruz, Calif. Meetup: June 22? [more inside]
I'm in, and I think I could rope in at least two more.

That would be interesting, if I'm around then. Pergolesi sounds good.

DELIGHTFUL, and count me for two (paging contraption). Perg's fine, but I would toss the Red in contention as well, I like to gather there, what with the couches.

Is the over the hill crowd welcome? I live in SJ now, but I used to live in Felton.

Hell yeah I'm in! What do people think about meeting at Pergolesi and then migrating to the train tracks off Fair Ave. for the Guerilla Drive-In showing of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (I've been going to GDI for about a year and it's a really fun, accessible scene, modulo the occassional drunken heckler.)
I'm so glad you're doing this, spiderskull. It's been in the back of my mind for a while, since there seem to be a fair number of us here.

All are welcome! We could start at Perg and walk on over to the Red afterwards if people feel so inclined.

Hey, I'm adding this to the meetups since it's off the front page.

I'll come if I'm in the neighborhood. I need to make a trip down to San Jose anyway.

Final Plans
Okay, venue change. I called Perg and there's a motorcycle rally happening all weekend. Considering how loud and crowded it will be, let's meet at the Red.
I've made a reservation for 8:30pm, just ask for the Metafilter group.
The Red (Google maps)
The students have all left the city for the most part, so I don't imagine it will be crowded. If it gets crowded, we'll figure out a new place to migrate to.
If you haven't been there already, their food is expensive. So I wouldn't recommend showing up hungry.
See you all there!

Oh, just to clarify for those who haven't been there, The Red is upstairs. The Red Room is downstairs.

It's true, the food is a little pricey, but the drinks are excellent.
I'm hoping to make it.

Pssht. What good is a MetaFilter meetup if I can just walk to it? I mean really.
Additionally, I don't think The Red is large enough to accommodate my ego. Can we meet at Costco instead?

I am also concerned. I have a big, invisible entourage. They get rowdy.

Right now, as far as location goes, I'm thinking something along the lines of Caffe Pergolesi so that you have your choice of beer or coffee. I am, of course, open to suggestions in case those considering coming would prefer a restaurant.
