Philly Meetup. MeatBomb in town.

Meatbomb is coming to town. Part of the Metafilter Meatbomb World tour. (Meatbomb and I had a tiny meetup in Dubai.) Where: Philadelphia, near 95. Location: To be still decided. I'm thinking beer, and some place conducive to us. I'm thinking of Nodding Head Brewery (or possibly Eulogy, or the pool hall next door). When: Friday, the 31st (although Meatbomb might make this become the 30th.)

Can't do Fri-Sat-Sun, but if it's moved to the 30th I'll be there.

Also consider Zot. Was pleased with them recently.

30th, esp at Nodding Head. Then again, I haven't been to Eulogy (vs. the Nodding Head crew knowing my name). I might be able to convince my SO to come too (also a mefite).

Meatbomb (since he's the one traveling) is the one making the date decision here - the 31st; Friday is what we came up with.

I think we're going to go with Eulogy knowing that we can always go to Buffalo Billiards next door. I'm going to suggest 7pm.

My bf, the other mefite, says that old city is overpriced and stupid and we should go to Nodding Head. I agree. Plus, Nodding Head is so awesome, you would never feel the urge to play pool for 15 bucks/half hour.

Heh. I think my very favorite meetup photos are the ones where half a dozen people are crowded around a single PDA or phone or something in rapt attention, like the survivors of a fierce storm of booze and music that left a single glowing beacon of dorkiness.
