There was a micromeetup in Toronto at Gandhi's Roti today. Here are some pics.

Gandhi's is totally awesome and if you're ever in Toronto, you should go there. Also, the dief and maudlin are awesome and also librarians, which is doubly awesome.

Are those shoutouts to ... yourselves?

The art of the self-shoutout is a deep and mysterious one.

Naw we're just identifying ourselves. We don't got no one to shout out to :(

Micromeetups are very cool. We had roti, nice people and a handy stash of catalogue cards. The sudden Thanksgiving tropical rainstorm in the middle of our chat was a sign of some import, I think.

Another photo set with some self-shoutouts AND an Oscar winner here.

my fault entirely. I'm not usually so enamored of myself, but it was my first meetup.

Nice to see the guy who's been favoriting all my comments. I assume you're compiling a dossier.

Yeah, it is nice to put a face with those favorites.

And butter chicken is delish.

Oh crap, I totally missed this one. I was sleeping off too many pints last night. Dammit, I should have set it in my google calendar or something. :(

Ha! tehloki is a dirty hippy!

You look like a right good dirty hippy, tehloki. Good on you, and like jon said, it's good to have a face to go with that now-deservedly famous name.

You went to Gandhi's when New York Subway is only a block away? Are you mad?

I totally missed this one. ... I should have set it in my google calendar or something. :(

Well.. If they'd told anyone about it ahead of time, you might have been able to..

Heh, sorry not a lot of people got notified about this meetup; I waded through the earlier "YYZ meetup thread" and looked at everyone's availability, and just took the further planning to email. I wanted to avoid a serial spamming of MeTa, s'all. I gotta remember to put the next one in the sidebar, though. *kicks self*

Oh! It was really a micro meetup :)

I like how threatening a narrative is implied by the photostream:

"Here we are! Just a few of us! Having fun!"
"...and then it begin to rain."
(PICTURES END)
