The grinders were as tasty as advertised, and the conversation was good.

I fear I may have disturbed the group's genteel sensitivities by my discourse on Seattle's rendering plant.

A good time was had by all. Good to meet new people and see old ones. Thanks for the pics corpse. We should have taken a picture of Grinders' beer cooler. They had a bottle beer selection that would rival any bar in Seattle. The last half of my workday passed rapidly with a very nice porter buzz and a full belly. Cheers!

Well, these sandwiches were called grinders. Or at least the name of the place was Grinders. Actually, it appears that they refer to them as hot sands but whatever. The term "sub" seems fairly well established here otherwise.

Years ago I lived in Wallingford, a neighborhood within Seattle. Across the street from me was a grocery store - deli that was run by an Asian couple that I assume were recent immigrants. They named several of their deli meals after American presidents, I presume in order to venerate the icons of their new homeland.

I confess that I often ordered the "Grant's Grinder" simply to hear them repeat the words "Grant's Grinder" with their unique accents...

I've got flash-block installed and after I authorized it to load, it loaded super-tiny. But then after going to a few different pages, the size corrected itself. I just want to know why they need to have the whole thing done in flash?!
