The snow has arrived!

The Whistler ski trip is less than a month away now. Yesterday, not content to wait until Saturday for the lifts to open, I put on my skins and took a trip up Blackcomb. It looked pretty good up there.

If you are planning on coming, please let us know on the wiki.

The La Niña we are experiencing is expected to last well through December. This typically brings above average precipitation and below average temps. Be prepared for plenty of snow.

Aw man, that's looks great already. I really wish I could go to this, but I have to go down to San Francisco that weekend for the Creative Commons party. Looks like this will be a lot of fun though!

Oh man Black Tusk looks awesome. Could I be any more homesick than this? Oy, that is the ticket to my heart. Did a hike up there this summer and was just imagining what would be going on this weekend up there.

Man it turns out I'll be back on the West Coast after all but I don't think I'll be able to leave NorCal...that weekend either.

But count me in for the SF meetup in honor of mathowie's visit...
