Since Metafilter will be down tomorrow, who wants to meet up at the White House at noon to gawk at Catholics and grab some pizza?

But Jesus looks like Cortex, and the dough is all Matt's?

Nice thin crust though.

Dude, there's no way I can find enough lions in 15 hours.

Damn it, I'm stuck in some other stupid city. That sounds fun, though.

I saw the old pope, in his popemobile, at Cardiff City's old ground way back when. Appropriate venue for a former goalie and so much classier than this "White House" place, wherever that is. I mean, we were just a knicker-chuck from Tom Jones' house. Probably.

I was always disappointed that the Popemobile didn't go, "Pope-pope-pope-pope-pope…"

Dammit, I missed the D.C> meet-up at Nanny O'Briens (even after calling the location, somewhat) due to having plans in NY that weekend, and now tomorrow I'm way too busy. Also, athiest though I am, I still reserve some respect for the catholics who have enough force behind their belief to make it out for this, which is an historic occasion in any case. So my "gawking" would be fully academic and intellectual and respectful, I assure you.

Still wish I could be there, parmanparman.
