Drinks in the evening in Antigua Guatemala, around Sat May 3rd.
Alright, first-ever mefi meetup in Guatemala as far as I can tell. Since gramcracker is here for a couple more weeks, we agreed to get together Saturday May 3 in lovely Antigua, and we thought "hey, why not post a meetup announcement in the off chance that some other mefite is around?"

Ha! And I just spent my 29th at Frida's (and a few other nearby places)... small world I guess. Next time you're around please drop me a line, I'd love to grab coffee or whatever.

I highly recommend the bar "No Se" in Antigua. Run by a motley crew of jaded UK/Aussie expats, including NYC EV dropouts, cynical ex-schoolteachers, lotharious, bums and wastrels. Good taste in music and booze: including a secret, after-hours mescal joint. The exact anthithesis to the 'loud gringo shots-for-the-language-students-so-the-locals-can-pickthem-up bar'.

Bar "No Se", hmm, thanks, I'd actually never heard of it (guess I'm not much of a barhopper), but I'll be sure to pay a visit this Saturday.
And cabingirl, there's also another mefite who's gonna be around near the 16th, maybe we could meet up with her too that weekend. I'll be sending you some mefimail soon..
