Problems uploading to MeMusic?

I haven't been able to post a song to MeMusic for a couple weeks now - it's probably a problem on my end, but I've tried pretty much everything. I'm using the newest build of FireFox for OSX 10.4.11... When I try to upload the song, I get a "sending request to the server" for about 5 minutes, and then a MIME error. Help?

Can you post the text of the MIME error? This happens from time to time when a browser is reporting a bad mime type. We can add your variation of MP3 (audio/mpeg, audio/mp3, etc.) to our list of acceptable mime types and you should be set. We just need to know what that variation is. Oh, and the file has to be an MP3.

ahh, found it in the logs. For some reason, your browser thinks you're trying to upload an HTML document (text/html) rather than an MP3 file. Do you have another browser you could try to see if that recognizes the file correctly? That way you'd know Firefox is the culprit.

Yeah, here's the text:
The MIME type of the uploaded file text/html was not accepted by the server.

Only files of type audio/mpeg, audio/mp3, audio/mpg, audio/x-mpeg, application/octet-straem, application/octet-stream, audio/mpeg3, audio/x-mp3, application/unknown, audio/x-m4a, application/x-octet-stream, application/force-download can be uploaded.
Verify that you are uploading a file of the appropriate type.

Resources:

* Enable Robust Exception Information to provide greater detail about the source of errors. In the Administrator, click Debugging & Logging > Debug Output Settings, and select the Robust Exception Information option.
* Check the ColdFusion documentation to verify that you are using the correct syntax.
* Search the Knowledge Base to find a solution to your problem.

Ok, yeah, it worked in Safari. Weird...

Glad it's working for you in one browser at least. I did some looking around to see if it's possible to edit Firefox mime-types when uploading, and I can't find a way to do it beyond an old Add-On called MIME Edit that's not available for the most recent version of Firefox.

Have we considered just shooting all the mimes?

Have we considered just shooting all the mimes?

Only ones of the "wrong type" apparently. [NOT MIMIST]

Have we considered just shooting all the mimes?

I love it when they do Man In A Box, though. Very realistic.

True, even after we added walking/against-wind and walking/along-rope as MIME types a while back, trapped/box is still the most frequently used.
