MORE LA HOT MEETUP ACTION! Inside: Scotch, punk rock, and YOU!

So, a couple of y'all at the meet-up were like, hey-a, let's hit that Daily Pint and get some Scotch in our blood. And I was, like, two weeks from now? And y'all were like, yeah.

So, how's the 9th look for the Daily Pint in Santa Monica?

Also, on February 20 at the Smell, Thurston Moore is playing, with a metric assload of bands opening. (Even further down the road, The Oh Sees are playing there in March).

I don't think I'll be able to make LACMA, =( damn work, but the 9th works and scotch works too. The last time I saw Moore live he was totally outperformed by xbxrx. It's hard to top skinny young men stripping out of their little girl Sunday school outfits while screaming and breaking things on stage, no matter how important and rad your band is. I'd like to give him another chance, though. We'll see. I haven't been to The Smell, is this the sort of thing that'll sell out easy?

Where is that? I know that my friends and I have bowled at the um… Sha-Do (or whatever Korean transliteration of Chateau) lanes on Chateau in Koreatown, and that was pretty easy to get a lane and cheap beer…
