Newfoundlanders, let's have the most easterly MeFi meetup in North America!
Anybody interested in having a meetup in St. John's, Newfoundland in the next couple of months? We have tons of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops - let's put 'em to good use.

Dammit I just moved away from newfoundland like 2 weeks ago!
Admittedly, I was in Corner Brook, so it wouldn't have really mattered. Stupid Newfoundland and its bigness.
I actually like the bigness.

Wouldn't it suck if all the Greenlander MeFites got together and spoiled it for you?

Greenland is only North America if you're playing "Risk". It is part of Denmark after all.

I was right near St John's a few weeks ago but didn't want to subject anyone to a meetup with my mom. Next time I will ring you up!

Grew up in St. John's and an outport up Bonavista way, was back the other year. Always makes me smile when NF is mentioned on the metanetwork.

There are no other MetaFilter members nearby, sorry.
That's what prompted this post - I knew there were Newfoundlanders on here because, well, we're everywhere.

If you have a meetup next year (when I have vacation time again), I will attend. I've always wanted to go to St. John's.
(Probably any time after 1/1/10 will work for me, given enough notice, provided I'm not laid off by then.)
