Pax East, Boston Meetup February 4, 2010 6:31 PM Subscribe
I know that about 90% of the target constituency is already covered in the thread over on mefightclub, but I figured I'd ask back here as well - any more MeFites planning to head to Penny Arcade's Pax East in Boston, MA, 26th-28th March?
There's a small contingent of MeFighters headed over for the festivities, but I was wondering if any of the wider MeFite community was also planning on attending (although, if you've not bought your tickets yet, you may be out of luck - all 3-day passes have now sold out, there's only single-day tickets left).
So, potential meetup thread, right here. Any takers?

I'll be there. In my capacity as Assistant Editor of GeekDad, I'll be moderating a panel with six other GeekDad writers about raising the next generation of geeks.

I'll be there. Of course, it's local for me, so I'm up for any meetup shenanigans as long as it doesn't conflict with the MC Frontalot show.

I'm going, despite the fact that I currently own no video games whatsoever, and I don't read Penny Arcade. I am, however, a big fan of Paul and Storm, Jonathan Coulton, MC Frontalot, and Metafilter's Own jscott.

I've got my three-day pass ordered, and I somehow convinced Mrs. Plutor to go for the day on Saturday. Oh, I will so be there. (Note that the tickets are sold out and there will be no door sales, so if you don't have your tickets already, you might be in a jam.)
I was gonna suggest a meetup at The Pour House or Bukowski, but I bet they'll be totally packed the whole weekend. Let's do it as far from Hynes as we can manage. Joe Sent Me in Waltham?

Not planning on attending PAX, but if there's meetup goodness afterwards you can expect to see me standard disclaimer about business travel etc. If people aren't too tired, you might consider walking to Central Square in Cambridge from Hynes - maybe Asgard or something near that.

I shall be at Pax East. Also if anyone else like me is getting a hotel room and still doesn't have one. I booked the Copley Westin on Hotwire for far less than the prices for other hotels if you book through the Penny Arcade site. The Westin is the unnamed 4 star hotel with "bed choice" and seven amenities listed. Base price for those dates is $123 a night right now.

It is absolutely the best group of people you will ever play games online (or have discussions about games, etc.) with. Any MeFite who enjoys gaming really should check it out.

I can't promise - that accent modulation thing sometimes happens to me unawares - but I shall be more sober which will help. Either way I sha'n't be mocking!
