Southern ME or Portsmouth NH meetup!

Since the other meetup is not convenient for me, I suggest a meetup somewhere between Kennebunkport ME and Portsmouth NH (will choose The Friendly Toast in Portsmouth if there is no strong feeling for a different city/location), between the evenings of July 24 and July 29.

If it's at the Friendly Toast, I'll try to make it!

Fun fact: Though Portland is about twice as far as Portsmouth from Boston, I am about 3× more likely to attend a meetup in -land than -mouth.

(If I'm in Boston that weekend, I'm the haziest of maybes. As in, I hope I can make it.)

One if by land, two if by sea, three if by mouth?

I'm in Portland and would be up for this, if it works with my schedule - summer is crazy busy.

I can do the evening of the 29th.

That week is a little far off for planning, but I'd love to attend a Portsmouth meetup. Or Portland!

When I lived in Portsmouth briefly, working on a presidential campaign, we used to call Portsmouth "The Smouth." I can't remember if it was a local thing, like Manchvegas, or just us being smartasses.

That's all I got. I'm now 3000 miles away, but enjoy some tasty food from The Friendly Toast for me! And then you should definitely go to the Portsmouth Brewery or Fatbelly's for a drink.

I have never attended a meetup before, and would really like to. I'm not 100% sure of my schedule for the end of July, though, so I'm a definite maybe.

Definitely not a local thing - at least not within the last 10 years. I have one friend who calls it "the mouth of the port in the shire of the New Hamp," but that's not usual either. We sometimes shorten it to P'mouth or Porty.

Due to a sudden change in work, I will only be there from the 24 to the 27. I'd say the 24th is best, but there's a VT meetup the same day. Is this a problem for people? I'll otherwise go for the 25th.
