NC meetup - Mother Earth is a Big Boss in the Foothills, but brews are Boylan with the Aviator

North Carolinians, lend me your livers! (a.k.a., I'm going to Raleigh, N.C. from 7/22 to 7/27 and want to cobble together a meetup. Preferably one that involves beer.)

Yes, it's short notice! Yes, it may in fact involve drinking! Yes, I'm trying to fill my now pointless trip with frivolity!

Nonetheless, if you're going to be in the Raleigh/Durham area sometime that weekend, why not meet up and hoist a glass? Seriously, I crammed as many breweries in the title as I could. I apologize for nothing!

I won't be able to make a meet-up that weekend thanks to some prior commitments, but do yourself a huge favor and find a bar / grocery store carrying beers from the new-ish brewery Lonerider (they're not offering tours right now due to some work they're doing). Shotgun Betty is hands-down my favorite beer.

Note: I'm not affiliated with them. I just really dig what they're doing.

I'll be around for the whole weekend and would be up for a meetup, but I can't help with input on possible venues, I'm afraid.

Had some response on the MetaChat side of things, so I'm tentatively planning to be at The Station in Carrboro at 9:30pm on Saturday. I'll be hanging out for a while with a MeFi/MeCha card or something & will see who shows. Hope you can make it, clerestory.

Feel free to email for more info, identifying marks, etc. Perhaps I should wear a hat to be found more easily - I'm thinking tricorne.

mediareport - I'm kind of bouncing around while I'm out there but I'll probably be in either Wilmington or Atlantic Beach on Thursday, sorry. My planning has been a little scattershot.
