Burning Man Meetup July 28, 2002 2:18 AM Subscribe
Even though, apparently, Burning Man is just soo damn uncool these days there will no doubt be MeFites & bloggers attending and probably blogging from the playa itself.
Any thoughts on a MeFiBuM meet?

Well, I think Burning Man is still as cool as most cool things are, so I'll be out on the playa (chances are I'll be greeting some of you other burners on the way in) and I'd be happy to meet up with other Mefites. I'm organizationally impaired, though; if someone else wants to set up a place and time I'll show up there and then, but anything else is beyond my meager abilities.

Burning Man must be what you make of it, right?
Personally, I grow weary of the people who blather about it ad infinitum, but it must have done a number on them for them to go on about it so.
And really, wouldn't the best thing for Burning Man be for it to stop being cool?
Note: I've never been, but feel as though I have been from all the stories.

Cool/Uncool...bleh.
I'll be doing a HugNation Hug at the man on Wed at 6pm. You're all invited. :)
And if you want a really mature (and fun) look at Burning Man, check the new documentary, "Gifting It" (about the gift ecomony of Burning Man.)
