For the last few days, every MeFi page I load is missing one piece:

The Community Weblog

And every 30 seconds or so, the browser tries to reload it, but it never succeeds. This in MSIE5.5b1/Mac.

That's weird. I have no clue. It doesn't happen in Netscape does it? Maybe it's a beta bug? There was a "metafilter bug" that early IE5/Mac beta testers discovered last year, that they seemed to iron out before the release.

It's not a problem in IE 5.0 for the Mac, which does indeed make it sound like a beta bug.

It comes and it goes. It stopped doing it early yesterday, then was doing it again later that afternoon. THEN it started not loading the GIF in the top left corner, and not loading it over and over again.

And now everything's fine. So who knows.
