San Francisco Picnic

I know this is old. But is the item at the bottom of the page going to happen this year?

"I'd like to do a MetaFilter picnic gathering at Golden Gate Park, in San Francisco some time this summer."

Could it happen this year? I was planning to take a trip to San Fransisco some time this year. Two birds. One stone. Could be fun.

It would be my impetus for finally getting a personalized baseball shirt, and, as I just discovered, a pancake-themed MeFi creeper for my spawn.

Oh yes, that is completely adorable! Please take spawn pics? And is everyone taking snaps of themselves wearing and using metafilter goods? Is there someone collecting the photos?

I live in PA, so will not be attending the picnic. Oh well.

Set it up for any time during the fourth week of June (22-28), and I would be delighted to attend, since I'll be in the Bay area then anyway.

I don't know about doing a picnic, but maybe we could do a gathering at a bar/eatery somewhere near the end of June (I'll be out of town when the exact 4th anniversary hits).

Well, if it's in a bar, I'm going to have to get a babysitter. But then, I'd bring pictures of the spawn. In her pancake creeper. Which I mean to order, probably after the 15th.

Not that babies in bars aren't a hoot.

i nominate zeitgeist for consideration. it's got a lovely patio, reasonably priced drinks, and is a good spot for a decent sized crowd, as there's a plethora of picnic tables.

Pier 23 also has a pretty decent patio, and is a bit more posh for those of you not into drinking pitchers of beer with punk rock bike messengers.
