I got my first anonymous flame today. Question to more experienced hands: Does this kind of thing happen a lot?

I've only gotten a couple: one some unintelligible sexual offer, and the other racially offensive. most of my email is very thoughtful.

I think it depends on the type of thing you usually post.

just ignore it....

I haven't been flamed for my content. My problem is scriptkiddies trying to crack my servers when I mention I host out of my apartment in #linuxos and #linuxguru.

I'd just trash it. It's not worth the effort of tracking down where it came from.
