Sorry this is kind of haphazardly assembled, but time is of the essence. Anyways, ThomCatSpike and I are taking matteo out for drinks after work. Anyone who wishes to join is more than welcome (dejah). Shoot me an e-mail (in profile) to let me know if you're coming so we can keep an eye out for you.

What the, there's a meetup happening in SF at that time!

YOU WILL NOT STEAL OUR THUNDER!

An "Irish" happy hour pub? Tsk. If he's coming all the way from Europe, why not take him to a legit divebar for a taste of Texas? (not that it tastes very good...)

dang it - such short notice. Is there anyway that Matteo will still be in town on Thursday night? I can make that one but tomorrow is the fil's bday and I can't make it. :(

If he's coming all the way from Europe,

Take him to TGI Friday's. That's all American culture wrapped into one restaurant/bar.

I hereby demand that you take matteo to Billy Bob's, Trees, and The Lodge, not neccessarily in that order. Oh and somewhere in there ya'll have to eat tex-mex and bbq and down a couple of Dr Pepper's. And then a road trip to Austin if you have time...

/vicarious visit back to Dallas. Li mortacci tua matteo. Sono invidiosa che puoi mangiare cibo messicano e bere la tequila buona. Divertivi. ;)

I had Matteo over for dinner last night...a great time was had, much wine and conversation flowed. I now officially love Matteo. :)

I thought his flight out today was at like 3:30 though.

Damn last week I was in Dallas on business. I have several questions for you Dallasians, why are the street lights horizontal (I was told for high winds, though coming from Kansas City which has normal street lights and 200% more torandos, I doubt it)? How does anyone get around when instead of numbered streets (like NY, 55th & Name of Street, vs Dallas' Name of Street and Name of Street)?

I'll be there, but probably not until after 5:30.

Geoff, until you learn all the streets, you use Mapsco. Streets here change names with no warning. It's driving excitement!

geoff, I've been here for a little over two years now and can't give directions anywhere, but I can get most anywhere just by visuals. Coming from a town with such an easy grid system (like NYC's) as Tulsa has been a never ending source of frustration adventure.

let me just say that the meetup was a memorable, memorable experience.

I especially liked the part when all the guys present had long sweet sweaty gay bukkake sex with 111. too bad poor 111 can't post anymore, he asked us to tell the community how much he liked it.
he misses us all, anyway

What matteo says is the truth. It was hawt. I just wish my camera hadn't gotten.....erm...fogged.

No photos of hot MeFi boy on boy action?!

well, there _may_ be some (as Ufez pointed out) "foggy", almost unusable images that'll certainly turn up on the Internet as soon as one of us decides to run for office. you just wait. and anyway the sight of Ufez completely naked except for a big cowboy hat with a 'Bush-Cheney 04' pin will remain in my memory for a long, long time. he is one hunky sonofabicth, that boy.

I just didn't expect thomcatspike to have the MetaFilter logo tattooed down there, you know? that's dedication.

you are such a clit-tease matteo.

He also begged me not to say anything, but dude's hung like Rocco Sifretti.

Barring some genetic anomaly, that was a given. He is Italian, afterall.

All, it was a fantastic meet up with matteo. He is a pleasurable person to be around. Cannot say enough about his manners, charm and knowledge. Also the happy hour was swell time. We missed you Witty.

I was told for high winds, though coming from Kansas City which has normal street lights and 200% more torandos, I doubt it
Geoff, not sure the % now. Dallas was/is a windier city than Chicago per the nation's yearly percentages. Everything is taller in Texas so maybe they put the street lights horizontally for our large SUVs.

Blue Train, your right since it’s first location was in Dallas and owned by the Brinker Corporation based here.

I love you all. seriously.

ps Ufez, modest as always, doesn't mention that it was certainly him, not me, who made 111 literally whimper with desire. it must be because of those large Oklahoma farmboy hands, who knows
