I'm getting it too (IE5.1/Mac).

I'm getting it as well, but it's been on and off, and the error seems to be in the "text ad" block--maybe there's a malformed text ad record?

I am as well, in FireFox on a Dull with XP loaded up. The page partially loads up but then stalls with that gray box.

Yes, me too. nothin but a blue error screen.

This is a dumb question but does anyone post these as uptime posts anymore?

I got it, but refreshed and it was fine, so I second LairBob's posit.

oh me too, but i posted about it in an earlier thread, (complete with screen cap evidence) wasn't in the mood to start a new one.

I got it too. Logged out, logged in, no error.

Coincidence?

I seem to be only getting it when clicking the Metafilter link in Bloglines. When I type the address in, I don't get the error.

As LairBob mentioned, I think it's one of the textads. I only get the error occasionally on the frontpage, and when I do, it seems to be halfway through the textad box. However, I get a similar error--"attribute validation error for tag cfoutput"--everytime I load the allads page.

I think the error is one of the textad records being malformed. I'll look into it later today.

hmm, strangely enough the all ads page shows up fine for me on most loads, but every once in a while dies.

I wonder if one of the ad logging tables is getting too big or something.

I got it and then just hit refresh and it's fine now. Firefox on OSX.

oh for crissakes, no it doesn't. i give up.

Peter H, to me it was a bug not an uptime issue.

No, riffola, I posted a 'bug' like this too. Wasn't a complaint, really just wondrin if anyone did.

MetaFilter is extremely slow of late. Please Matt, charge people to open new accounts, and use the money to give MeFi a vaguely acceptable interface.

In related news, this link doesn't work.

this link doesn't work.

that's because threads don't end in a slash. Take it off and it loads up instantly.

Then the problem is with the google search, because that's where the link came from.
